Not Too Shabby, A Little Chic!

My very first real posting!! I so want to participate in the Metamorphosis Monday hosted by: Between Naps On The Porch.

Be sure to visit Thrifty Nifty Tuesday hosted by Coastal Charm.

About a year ago I found this dresser/ hutch on Ebay for a ridiculous p
rice of $35.00. The main reason I bought it was there was no shipping as it was a local pick up. My sweet son took me in his pickup to haul it home. When we got it home, we unloaded it in the garage. I took out all the drawers to inspect it. Low and behold I found an old polaroid camera and a pretty little gold necklace(makes the deal even sweeter). But that's not all I found. Out came the biggest roaches I have ever seen! Armed with my can of bug spray. I sprayed all the inside heavily and let is set for a while. It ended up sitting in my garage for about 1 year.

Recently I dragged it into my family room to prime and paint it. It had been raining for several days and I wanted it out of the humidy. After 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of white paint it came out rather pretty. I now have it in my guest room. Check it out! Thank you for visiting today!

That looks incredible! My favorite part is that old-looking quilt on top. Wait, my favorite part is the dishes. Very nice and very inspiring!

Oh, they are so gorgeous. And you've decorated it so beautifully. I love it. I'll bet when the roaches came running, it scared the heebee jeebies out of you. It would have me. Why can't they be on the endangered list?
