This may be a stretch for Metamorphosis Monday, at Between Naps On The Porch but it is in fact a metamorphosis.
I have had this blue and white fabric in my stash for a while. I buy fabric when I fall in love with it even though I do not know what I will be using it for. I just stash it away until an idea hits me. I love to make machine quilts. I usually make lap size as they are so much more versatile for decorating. I also make table runners and placemats.
Since I love blue and white china(expensive or inexpensive) I thought I would try to make a runner that would echo the pattern in my blue and white dishes, accessories, etc. This is such an easy fast table runner. I didn't even quilt it or topsitch it. I just put stiff interfacing between the layers. I also made 4 placemats with leftover fabric.

Bangers and Mash on my back porch

I am excited to participate in the Tablescape Thursday hosted by Between Naps On The Porch as I need the practice on posting things since I am such a newbie-not sure what I am doing.

My sister-in-law and her husband came in today from Ohio. Our weather here in Florida finally got warm today. It was 80 degrees!! We had Bangers and Mash with Guinness Gravy, salad, bread, and of course Guinness Beer on the back porch. It is nothing fancy, but I a snapped a few pictures before we sat down to eat. I bought the plates from a Noritake outlet store about ten years ago and have loved them ever since.

Not Too Shabby, A Little Chic!

My very first real posting!! I so want to participate in the Metamorphosis Monday hosted by: Between Naps On The Porch.

Be sure to visit Thrifty Nifty Tuesday hosted by Coastal Charm.

About a year ago I found this dresser/ hutch on Ebay for a ridiculous p
rice of $35.00. The main reason I bought it was there was no shipping as it was a local pick up. My sweet son took me in his pickup to haul it home. When we got it home, we unloaded it in the garage. I took out all the drawers to inspect it. Low and behold I found an old polaroid camera and a pretty little gold necklace(makes the deal even sweeter). But that's not all I found. Out came the biggest roaches I have ever seen! Armed with my can of bug spray. I sprayed all the inside heavily and let is set for a while. It ended up sitting in my garage for about 1 year.

Recently I dragged it into my family room to prime and paint it. It had been raining for several days and I wanted it out of the humidy. After 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of white paint it came out rather pretty. I now have it in my guest room. Check it out! Thank you for visiting today!
